Dear PLC Family,

There are moments in the life of a church when something becomes clear, not because every detail is resolved, but because God is gently drawing His people forward. You can feel it. You can sense it. The Spirit is at work.

This feels like one of those moments.

For more than fifty years, Peñasquitos Lutheran Church has stepped forward in faith, time and again, often without knowing exactly how things would unfold. We are here today because those who came before us trusted God, prayed faithfully, gave generously, and believed the Church exists not for itself, but for the sake of the world God loves.

Their faith still shapes us.

Today, we find ourselves in a new season. Our community continues to change. The spiritual needs around us are real and pressing. God is still drawing people to PLC who are longing for hope, healing, belonging, and purpose. And once again, God places before us a familiar invitation.

This season we are calling Next Step is about more than resources or plans. It is about formation. It is about aligning our lives more fully with God’s purposes and moving forward together with humility, courage, and grace.

God has been faithful to this church before. God is faithful now. And God will continue to be faithful as we take the next step He is inviting us into.

My hope is that this season will help us remember where we have been, understand where we are now, and discern together how God is calling us to move forward.
