As God continues to bring people to PLC, we must grow our capacity to serve them well. This step invests in people, spaces, and tools that allow discipleship to deepen, leaders to develop, and our church to meet the needs of the next generation. This is about being ready when God opens doors.

Up to $2M over two years
Through the Rooted Capital Campaign, our church took a bold step forward to prepare for the future. The next phase of building will allow that vision to be fully realized. This portion of Next Step positions PLC to move forward wisely, reduce reliance on borrowing, and finish this work with clarity and confidence. This is the step that brings the project across the finish line.
The Next Step initiative is different.
Rather than asking for “above and beyond” gifts alongside regular giving, as a leadership we believe God is inviting us into a simpler, more unified expression of generosity. For the next two years, we will come together around one fund because we believe God has given Peñasquitos Lutheran Church one mission.
Our ongoing ministries, our staff, our outreach, and the spaces that support life and mission at PLC are not separate callings. They are all part of the same story God is writing among us. A one fund approach helps us keep that focus clear and shared. One church, moving forward together.
The Next Step initiative will run from April 26, 2026 through April 30, 2028. During this season, all giving will support the mission God has entrusted to PLC. Our hope is not simply to fund programs or projects, but to invite everyone, no matter where you are, to prayerfully take a next step in generosity as part of a growing, faithful church family.

Everything at PLC begins with seeking the Lord, trusting that when God’s people pray, He works His promises through them. Take time to ask the Lord to shape your heart and move within our church family, leading each of us toward deeper discipleship and generosity.
