Building Update 110625

Our church is preparing for the next phase of construction on our campus. This project includes a new two-story administrative building, a fully renovated fellowship hall, new restrooms, a new kitchen, and refreshed patio spaces to foster connection, hospitality, and service.

To fund the work, we will combine $2.7 million from the Rooted Fund with $2 million financed through a mortgage with Thrivent Financial. The proposed mortgage carries a 5.9% rate with a 25-year term, and the rate readjusts every five years. Our goal as a congregation is to retire the mortgage within five years through a focused generosity initiative, positioning the church for long-term ministry impact without long-term debt.

The Church Council has called a Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 16 at 12:00 pm in the Sanctuary to consider and vote on approval of the mortgage. Members, your presence and vote are essential. Proxy ballots will also be available in the church office.

At this phase in the process things are happening at a swift pace, so the timing of financing approval is crucial. If approved, construction will break ground the first week of January and is expected to take 15 months. As these spaces come to life, we look forward to welcoming more ministry, more gatherings, and more opportunities to share the love of Jesus with our community.
